    Lightbulb warface in-game purchases

for the members on this forum that are currently playing russian beta, have you found it difficult to compete with players who have bought in-game upgrades? i've been reading that the in-game purchases for warface make it difficult to compete on PvP.

    can anyone shed some light?

And even if you aim for the head, he'll have an uber helmet that completely deflects several headshots. You'll get owned in PvP, and in PvE these maniacs will just rush ahead and kill most of the bots by themselves, leaving you little points to score. And you can't buy the same stuff for simple warbucks, because certain items are only available for real money - and still, they're only available for a limited time, say one day, or 7 days, after which they'll have to be bought all over again! What a scam )))
haha WOW that's insane, and people in Russia actually pay for these items over and over again? No wonder they are putting those ads everywhere.

I guess they'll see how the western markets respond when they launch the beta, maybe they'll make it more fair for free users.

Could be this way, but I still think it depends on the publisher. If it's Nexon, your statement will be 100% true, but if they find a decent company that can support the game then this most likely won't be the case.

My thinking is that Crytek is trying to gain funds for expansion, as well as make the money back that they spent on advertisements in Russia. If you read a little more you'll see how much advertisement they really have put into the game.

Why is Common Sense so damn uncommon?

From what I understand, the typical way things work is, Crytek the game creators/devs are in direct control of content (what is released in what update) Then the publisher has control of cash shop prices, balancing, when content is updated, what the final cut is included in the update, and most of all, what is cash shop, and what is GP/in-game currency.

So I wouldn't say it's going to be exactly like Russia's version of the game, but it all depends on who Crytek chooses for their publishing company.
